Did you know you can also slow cooker with your Power Pressure Cooker XL? Create a delicious bolognese sauce the old fashioned way in the Power Pressure Cooker XL.

• 1⁄4lb bacon, cooked
• 1 lb lean ground beef
• 1/2lb ground pork

• 1 medium onion, chopped fine
• 1 stalk celery, chopped fine
• 1 large carrot, chopped fine
• 4 cloves garlic (minced)
• 3 Tbsp. olive oil

• 1 tsp. salt
• 1⁄2tsp. black pepper
• 1 Tbsp. oregano
• 1⁄2tsp. red pepper flakes
• 1⁄4tsp. nutmeg

• 56 oz. crushed tomatoes
• 1 cup chicken stock
• 1 cup dry white wine

1. Place the Inner Pot into the Pressure Cooker. Press the Chicken/Meat button.
2. Heat oil. Sear beef and pork together. Drain off any excess fat.
3. Add onions, garlic, carrots, celery, bacon and spices. Cook for 2 minutes.
4. Add wine, stock, and tomatoes.
5. Press the CANCEL button. Press the Slow Cook Button to set for 2 hours.
6. Place the Lid on the Pressure Cooker—do not lock or use the glass Lid.
7. Once the Timer reaches 0, the Cooker will automatically switch to KEEP WARM. Press the CANCEL button.
8. Store for later use. Use a base for other sauces or serve right over your favorite pasta.
